EISFair

Advantages of a Linux based server solution are namly known but a number of administrators is failing with complexity of installation and maintainance. Linux server administration isn't a by-the-way-job. An exactly overview about functions and dependencies is needed; without it there is no chance to get power and superiority of Linux systems. There are remarkable and even commercial distributions claiming easy of use. Often they're trying to reach a maximum of comparability to Windows based systems, so the real advantages of Linux is not visible.

With eisfair there is an alternative concept. A number of enthusiastic German developers provides a system that contains best of Linux with an easy-to-use interface for installation and maintainance. In addition it's a perfect platform for Firebird database server.

These packages are provided to eisfair community by ibp consult:

All provided packages are server based, without any client installation needs and with a simple web based GUI embedded within MINI_HTTPD. Package configuration can be reached within eisfair text menus and comes with easy installation scripts. They are also removable again without any traces.
